Weighing of BC-ELA.LMS

Weighing of BC-ELA.LMS is designed for load weighing in lifts. It is a microprocessor-controlled device, which senses load values from individual sensors, pre-processes them, and sends them to the control system via the lift bus using the BSH protocol for further processing.

The product is a component of the lift control system. It consists of a control unit and two to four force sensors on a strain gauge principle.

Possible variants:

  • BC-ELA.LMS.2 – two sensors
  • BC-ELA.LMS.3 – three sensors
  • BC-ELA.LMS.4 – four sensors

Technical parameters:

  • Maximum load of 4 t (with four sensors)
  • Power supply of 12 V or 24 V from the lift bus
  • Reading values from the sensors after 200 ms
  • Sending data to the control system when a change greater than 5 kg occurs

Automatic lift cab disinfection UV-Cab

UV-Cab - a device that we have developed so that the lift cab remains safely disinfected from viruses and bacteria.

  • Automatic disinfection at a specified day and time

REVYT recovery unit

REVYT is a new recovery unit that can be installed in nearly every lift type. Recovery effectiveness will depend on the lift’s utilization. At the inlet, the controlled voltage converter measures the magnitude of DC voltage in the DC link and, starting with an adjustable value, transmits the residual energy to accumulators. Once the accumulators are fully charged, the excessive energy will be, in the usual manner, transformed into thermal energy at the braking resistor.

 

Properties of the REVYT recovery unit:
  • reduction of energy consumption and operational costs,
  • simpler and cheaper when compared to conventional recovery units returning the energy to the distribution system,
  • appropriate for medium-size lifts with a lower load level,
  • excessive energy is transmitted to an accumulator and subsequently used for feeding the internal electronics of the lift,
  • the unit is placed in a separate metal cover with an indication device,
  • the unit can be connected to most frequency converters.

Communications

Intercom BC-ELA.IC

The Intercom (IC) is designed for service and fire communication for lifts. The IC system enables two-way interactive communication.

The Intercom (IC) is designed mainly for service communication between the cabin space, on the cabin, in the pit, in the machine room (or in the switchboard in the case of the machine-free variant), for communication with a remote phone (up to 200 metres) and the fire access station:

  •          BC-ELA-IC.COP – for installation into the lift control panel,
  •          BC-ELA-IC.CAB – for installation on the cabin,
  •          BC-ELA-IC.SCU – for installation into the switchboard (machine room),
  •          BC-ELA-IC.PIT –  for installation into the pit,
  •          BC-ELA-IC.REP – remote phone up to 200 m,
  •          BC-FFF.PPP – controller with IC designed for the fire access floor.

 

Every IC is fitted with the talk button which, when pressed, transmits sound to the other ICs.

Brake Switch BC-BRAKE.PMC

A device which switches the brake with a voltage of 207 V DC and after a certain time this voltage is decreased to 140 V DC. This will ensure reliable switching while also decreasing the power on the brake winding.

The device is primarily designed for brakes from Warner-Electric Europe, specifically for the following types:

  • VAR15-02
  • VAR07 SZ420-350
  • VAR07 SZ600-550

This device is currently designed for PMC series motors from LiftEquip.

Control of lift doors

For our customers who deliver complete lift doors, we also develop a lift door control unit.
The unit is intended for controlling three-phase motors with permanent magnets as well as asynchronous motors with a nominal output up to 250 W. It is delivered as a complete assembly consisting of a motor and a photo-sensor for the lift door.

Cabin control panels

In the manufacturing of the original Beta Control control panels, we place emphasis on reliability and simple design in stainless or colour variable varnished versions. The control panels are usually fitted with anti-vandal buttons and a whole-coloured graphic TFT LCD display which displays the indication of the lift position and also pictures according to customer requirements (e.g. advertisements).
The specific dimensions and versions of control panels are based on individual customer needs.

  • Dallas reader for the possibility of using chips when operating the lift from the cabin
  • Above-standard, an RFID reader for contactless chips can be installed in the cabin.

The control board of the cabin controller is equipped with electronic elements for connection of a matrix (DotMatrix) display of the cabin position or for use in higher type series for a full-colour graphic LCD display.

           

Controls

When designing all types of lift controls, an emphasis was placed particularly on reliability, design and the sufficient variability of the colour design. Anti-vandal control buttons made by the German company Sheafer in various shapes and with various backlighting colours are used for all types of controllers.

The lift control unit handles communication with landing buttons, controls the cabin electronics, communication to the centre via GPRS or Ethernet (Kk Webrman application).

Lift emergency alarm

The emergency alarm allows two-way voice communication from the lift cabin to the service centre and to the mobile phones of the emergency service crew.
The Beta Control emergency alarm system meets the requirements of ČSN EN 81-28 for two-way voice communication and data transfer, ensuring:

  • automatic control of the emergency alarm function
  • automatic preventive control of the backup power supply
  • alarm to service staff when people are trapped in the pit or in the space above the top lift landing
  • recording of alarm occurrence time, alarm confirmation and its resolution
  • confirmation of rescue performed

Kk-Cemol (GSM)

An emergency alarm from the lift cabin to the monitoring centre or to the mobile phone of the emergency service via GSM. In the Czech Republic, the delivery can include a special T-Mobile SIM card designed for Beta Control lift applications.

2N Single Talk (fixed line)

A communication module for fixed lines. It is usually used in public buildings with continuous service in the lodge in which the fixed line is brought to the switchboard or machine room of the lift.

 RVTA

The RVTA electrical installation package is designed for the reconstruction of the older technologies of traction and hydraulic lifts.

Advantages of RVTA:

  • The technology of connectors with modular structure and supply of wires to the shaft allows fast and simple installation and easy replacement of components.
  • The shapes and dimensions of switchboard covers are adjusted to allow replacement of the original switchboard with minimum mechanical modifications. There is space provided in the switchboard for locating additional modules extending the system functions.
  • The cover is secured with a FAB lock or a latch.

The system meets the ČSN EN 81-1 and ČSN EN 82-2 standards.

NVTA

The NVTA integral electrical installation package is primarily designed for new lifts. It is a well-tried solution for the powerful and economical control of lifts.

The main advantages of the NVTA package are:

  • simple installation
  • remote monitoring of the lift for recording failures, operating and prophylactic data
  • possibility of connection with the access system and VIP lift
  • security of the lift machine room and switchboard
  • standardized time of connection 1 day

A more energy-saving variant (class A) can be installed at an extra charge.

BC-ELA

The electronic application for the control of BC-ELA lifts is a set of hardware and software products for the control, monitoring and management of lifts.
The application is available lift variants both with and without a machine room.
In the case of the variant without a machine room, minimum demands are placed on construction work – the switchboard and Kk-Webmon control unit are integrated into the door frames and the drive control converter is located in the lift shaft.

TRACTION DRIVES

Traction drives are designed for driving geared lifts with counterweights. Maximum travel comfort is ensured using high quality lift machines and frequency controlled drives.

Gearless synchronous drives

The most significant advantage of gearless lift machines is a higher efficiency of the drive combined with lower operating costs for power consumption, a quieter run and increased travel speed of the lift.

For our installations, we use ZETATOP gearless lift drives from the renowned German manufacturer ZIEHL-ABEGG.
This drive offers all the advantages of a modern synchronous motor with permanent magnets. It is compact and can be installed using various methods, even into the smallest lift shafts. In this type of drive, the quality and smoothness of travel is unbeatable. The certified brake can serve as a safety element against uncontrolled and inadvertent movement of the cabin (ČSN EN 81-1 + A3). By combining the Beta Control lift and the ZETATOP drive, you will obtain the highest possible technical performance of your lift.

Gear asynchronous drives

The advantage of gear machines is lower acquisition cost and a simple substitution of the original drive. However, their disadvantage is higher level of noise and higher power consumption. The drive includes a motor, transmission, double-acting brake and traction disc.

DRUM DRIVES

Drum lifts are lifts without counterweights, the suspension cable is wound on the drum of the gear machine. The advantage of this drive is the possibility of maximum utilization of the space of the lift shaft.

HYDRAULIC DRIVES

The lifting force of the hydraulic drive is supplied by an electrically driven pump which supplies hydraulic oil to the linear hydraulic motor acting directly or indirectly on the cabin. Lifts with hydraulic drives are most frequently installed in buildings with two to six landings with a lift height of up to 22 metres and a max. speed of 0.80 m/s.

 

Control electronics

Beta Control’s control systems are developed with the aim of ensuring customer satisfaction of both service companies and end users.
